What Tamara works on most
Anxiety & Stress
The worry that runs underneath a life that looks managed from outside.
Grief & Loss
Including grief for a life that did not happen. A version of yourself you had already imagined.
Life Transitions
A move to a new country, the end of a relationship, a family rupture you did not choose.
Identity & Self-Worth
The expectations you inherited, and the parts of yourself that only exist in one language.
Immigration & Acculturation
The particular tiredness of belonging to two places and being fully at home in neither.
About Tamara
Tamara Aquino Britos is a bilingual therapist who works with women navigating anxiety, grief, and the transitions that reshape a life: a move to a new country, the end of a relationship, the quiet loss of a future you had already imagined. She holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Argentina, where she trained, and works in Spanish and English.
Her work is unhurried and grounded. Sessions draw on mindfulness, breath and body awareness (she is also a certified yoga teacher, RYT-200), and reflective work on values, identity, and self-worth. She pays close attention to what culture, family, and language carry: the expectations you inherited, the parts of yourself that only exist in one language. Clients often arrive saying everything looks fine from the outside and nothing feels right underneath.
In Florida, Tamara practices as an associate therapist under the supervision of Andrea Piazza, LMHC, which means two clinicians are thinking about your care and her sessions are billable to insurance. All sessions are virtual, one to one, with adult women 18 and over, and can be held entirely in Spanish. She offers a free 15-minute consultation so you can decide whether the fit is right before booking.

Questions before you book
Can we work entirely in Spanish?
Yes. Spanish is Tamara's first language and sessions can be held completely in Spanish, completely in English, or moving between the two. Many clients find the work only becomes possible in the language they grew up in.
Where can she see clients?
Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Florida. Sessions are virtual, and you need to be physically in one of those places at the time of your appointment. Puerto Rico is her largest market.
What does associate therapist mean?
Tamara holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Argentina, where she trained and practices. In Florida she works as an associate under the supervision of Andrea Piazza, LMHC, Dreavita's clinical director. In practice that means a fully licensed clinician reviews her work, and her rate is lower than a fully licensed therapist's.
Who does she work with?
Adult women, 18 and over, one to one. She does not work with minors, men, couples, families, or groups.
Does she take insurance?
In Florida, yes. Her sessions are billable through her supervised status, and Dreavita verifies your benefits before the first session. Private pay is $90 per session in Florida, and $75 for clients in Puerto Rico and Mexico.
