Financial aid

Affordable therapy that puts people first.

Dreavita is a nonprofit. Two programs make care affordable when the standard rate is out of reach: a sliding scale set against household income, and a small number of fully funded places at no cost.

You can see your rate on this page before you give us your name.

Two programs, kept separate

You do not pick between them. One application is considered for both, and each holds its own set number of places, so a busy month for one does not close the other.

Sliding scale

A rate set by your household

Any rate below our standard fee, worked out from your household income and size against the federal poverty guidelines. Households up to 300% of the guideline qualify. Approved for twelve months, then confirmed again.

Pro bono

Care at no cost to you

No charge at all, for households up to 150% of the guideline with no coverage that would pay for care. Each place is funded up front as a course of eight weekly sessions, to be used within sixteen weeks, with one renewal on clinical review.

Funding the place before we approve it is how we avoid ending someone's care partway through.

Discretion runs one way

A reviewer can move you down one band for something an income figure does not capture, such as a recent job loss, medical debt, or supporting someone outside your household. No one can move you up. If any of that applies to you, add a line to your application email. You do not have to.

Check before you apply

Three questions, about thirty seconds. Your income and household size are used by this page and then discarded. Nothing is sent to us, saved, or attached to your name.

The result is the rate for that income band. It is not yet a decision. Two clinicians review every application, and the number of places is limited.

How it works

Five steps, no hoops.

Applying is not a favor we are doing you. Removing the financial barrier to care is the reason the organization exists.

Apply by email

This opens an email to care@dreavita.com with the two figures already set out for you. It reaches our care team directly rather than a website form. Send the figures only. You do not need to write anything about why you are seeking care.

If you have coverage

The scale and your insurance do not combine.

When we bill your plan, what you owe is set by your plan and we are held to it by contract. The rates above are for people paying without insurance.

If you have coverage and the out-of-pocket cost is still unaffordable, apply and say so. Those are looked at individually rather than read off the table.

We do not ask you to explain

Two figures is the whole application. Nothing requires you to describe your circumstances, though you are welcome to if you think it matters.

No documents by default

You tell us your household income and size and confirm they are accurate. We ask for paperwork only if we cannot verify what you have told us.

Nothing is conditional

Keeping your rate does not depend on filling in surveys or questionnaires. Anything we ask beyond your clinical record is voluntary and anonymous.

Dreavita Counseling, Coaching & Consulting Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Financial aid is awarded against the published table using documented criteria, and every decision is recorded. Board members, officers, staff in leadership roles and their family members are not eligible. Financial aid covers therapy, not coaching. Reduced fees and pro bono places apply from the date of approval and are not applied to sessions already billed. Rates are reviewed each January when the federal poverty guidelines are updated.
