the painful process of getting better book with Tamara

Healing is a process, sometimes painful, always transformative. Just like mending a broken heart with care and gold, therapy helps rebuild what life has fractured.

The Painful Process of Getting Better

When we start therapy, the gym, or any habit meant to improve our lives, we do it with the intention of growing… but hardly anyone talks about how painful it is to let go of our old identity.

Starting therapy is challenging because it means leaving behind harmful habits, taking responsibility for yourself, and accepting change.
Just like when you want a stronger, healthier body, it’s hard to give up bread or commit to working out every single day, therapy works the same way.

Therapy isn’t magic; it’s alchemy.
It’s a process for brave people who want to improve their relationship with themselves and with the world. And that requires daily commitment—just as you care for your body every day, you must also care for your mind.

Along the way, painful truths may surface: relationships that didn’t work, your parents’ mistakes, or times when you were selfish toward others. But now, you’ll see them from the adult you’ve become… and that makes it hurt much less.

At Dreavita, we walk this path with love, compassion, and care, so you can discover and develop the best version of yourself, the version you’ll be truly proud of.

I’m Tamara, a holistic therapist, and I’m here to walk alongside you on this awakening journey.
